Step by step towards more responsibility.
The CSR Events at ITB Berlin
In order to promote sustainable development in tourism and foster social and ecological responsibility, ITB Berlin offers a multitude of forward-looking events which deal with Corporate Social Responsibility.
From human rights to climate change, from poverty reduction to animal and environmental protection, from Fair Share to barrier-free access: In numerous lectures, discussions and workshops the latest developments from a variety of sectors and countries will be critically analyzed, and at the same time, the opportunities for sustainable tourism offers will be highlighted.
At ITB Berlin Convention
Renowned travel industry and policy-making experts discuss strategies, best-practice examples and the profitability potential of sustainable tourism at ITB CSR Day. Additional panels dedicated to ecological and social responsibility can also increasingly be found e.g. at the ITB Destination Days or the ITB Business Travel Forum.
Your convention participation is already included in your ITB Berlin Ticket.
All over the trade show
ITB Berlin is always putting emphasis on the importance of responsibility in tourism and helps to create awareness by providing an increasing range of workshops and seminars related to sustainability throughout the entire trade show – not only in the ITB Convention but also in the CityCube, in Hall 11.1 and - most importantly - in Hall 4.1, where inspiring presentations and discussions await you on two stages.
We would like to particularly invite all tourism professionals interested in sustainability to participate at the International ITB Responsible Tourism Networking Event – as always, on ITB Friday, 6 pm.
World Legacy Awards
In 2017 ITB Berlin was once again the host for the World Legacy Awards, an initiative of the National Geographic Society. The World Legacy Awards recognize leading tourism companies, organizations and destinations which promote a worldwide rethinking of the travel industry according to sustainable principles and practices.
The winners were announced at ITB Berlin in March 2017.
