At ITB Berlin 2012, well-known speakers and experts presented their ideas. Some of the progamme highlights are shown below:

Highlights Social Media

  • Adam Medros, Vice President of Product at TripAdvisor talked about about the influence of the Social Web on the planning of our holidays in the future: "How TripAdvisor is transforming travel via social media"
  • The blogger scene played an important role at this years eTravel World. One of the big panel discussions with international well-known bloggers such as Keith Jenkins as a guest on stage was„New kids on the blog – how destinations can succeed in the blogosphere

Highlights Mobile

  • "More Safety with Mobile Applications"
    The talk described mobile solutions available ranging from smart phone apps and online services to modern tracking and communications systems and how they can ensure safer travel. With Andreas C. Krugmann, Director Sales & Marketing Central Europe, International SOS GmbH, Neu-Isenburg.
  • René Hentschel, Chapter Berlin Representative from Mobile Monday moderated the panel discusson “Apps vs. Mobile Web (native App vs. web App)
  • A special highlight for travel managers was the presentation from Raymond ter Linden from SAP Travel Management "SAP Travel OnDemand – Developed for the Business Traveller".
